Network Info Items

The Service Details View in CygNet Explorer displays service info items and their values. The following info items are found on the Network page of the CygNet Service Information dialog box.

UDP Packets Dropped

The number of dropped datagrams due to a receive buffer limit on any datagram socket. If UDP datagrams or multicast datagrams arrive more rapidly than the receiving application can process them, or if the application has not specified sufficient receive socket buffering, this statistic records the number of datagrams that are dropped. Corresponds to the Microsoft Winsock BSP "Dropped Datagrams" Performance Monitor statistics.
